To lose weight, you need to be mentally ready.

  • Be Positive - Positive thinking works. Believe that you can lose weight. Don't let yourself be sidetracked by negative thoughts.

  • Don't let a bad day or bad week knock you off your diet. Everyone has a bad day once in a while. Refuse to let a bump in the road keep you from your goal.

  • Don't make Excuses - Excuses are easy, losing weight is hard.

  • Think of it as simple math - you need to burn more calories then you eat.

  • Be a winner, excuses are or losers.

  • Remember, nothing tastes as good as being thin.

  • Dieting is marathon, not a sprint.

  • Set small goals - Set reachable small goals for your weight loss.

  • Say things to yourself like, "food is the devil".

  • Tell yourself losing weight is easy and then "eat less".
